An early John Howard. One of Howard's sneaky ideas was to drive wages down and smash unions, via vast numbers of migrant workers on slave wages. (The pandemic showed this very clearly, when suddenly these slaves were no longer available to pick our food or work in our hospitality and tourism industries.) Copied the idea from the US and Mexico. At the same time he used these same migrants to win elections, by whipping up racist xenophobia about them. A bastard in just about every way, who introduced toxic US ideas into the LNP, which has now destroyed it as a conservative party. Or as one of his own party called him, a 'lying rodent'.
