Some people still cling to the idea that Australian Aborigines were primitives. But you won't find any other 'primitive' people whose cultures or civilisations lasted more than a few thousand years. You won't find any 'advanced' civilisations who did either. 70-100,000 years of continuous civilisation here, the greatest achievement in all of human history. And an almost total mystery. The Don Bradman of civilisations, but orders of magnitude more astonishing even than him. And our curiosity about how they did it? Zero.
