It’s a show, with a limited scope for what it can do, I know. But the trend it represents, of all of society becoming a giant high school, isn’t slowing. People well into middle-age still passionate about getting drunk, and their favourite bands. It should be embarrassing for those to be your passions, in middle age. But many don’t know anything else, because the adult culture they used to enter after high school has disappeared.
