It took all of one day for rare earths to become the new battleground between rival social teams. Western democracies bring this on themselves with the idea communities or ‘the people’ run nations. All that does is turn every tiny thing a country needs to do into a pissing contest, for social status. All true change is led, because it disrupts the status quo. If you leave it to ‘the market’, or ‘the people’ (the same thing, the pro-people power folk are arguing for the same thing as the free market folk), nothing changes. Everything is just never-ending fights, for status. That’s why the fabled ‘oligarchs’ invented the fiction of free markets, as a mechanism to protect the existing status quo, to prevent change with endless fights. Democracy as ‘the people’ in charge is EXACTLY the same idea. It’s free market governance, meaning no governance.
